Danny

Danny was found under a car after a rain storm by a young boy in May 2005, in Wilmington, NC. We think Danny was a forgotten hutch bunny that someone decided to "set free." They didn't even know it was a rabbit at first because he was in such bad shape.  What little fur he had left was bleached from urine scald.  He was nearly starved and both eyes were shut from infection.  He has really improved since coming into rescue.  He spent his first few weeks in rescue with the good folks at Cape Fear Rabbits and then came to us.  His fir has grown back in a beautiful chocolate brown color.  He never misses a meal.  We are still fighting the eye infection.  He also has maloccluded incisors which will need to be trimmed.  He is also totally deaf probably from an ear infection.  His feisty sprit is probably what allowed him to survive.
