Jasmine & Krissy

These two buns are Jasmine and Krissy.  They had run out of time at a county animal shelter in southeastern NC.  We saved them literally at the last hour...actually the last half hour or so.  They are semi-bonded girls.  They lived together pretty much ignored by the humans that had promised to take care of them.  The can be adopted together or separately.

Jasmine is the black rabbit.  She is about 6 months old.  She is going to be a larger rabbit, we think maybe 8-9 pounds.  She appears to be a mix of New Zealand and maybe Havana.  She has very soft fur.  She is the more inquisitive of these two.  She got good hay and pellets probably for the first time in her life and really enjoyed them.  She loves to shred newspaper. She also enjoys the hard plastic baby toys. Like so many buns, she is not really excited about being picked up but will allow it.  She will blossom in an environment where she feels safe.

Krissy is the white bun...what we call a "Big White Bunny" (BWB).  She is an albino with ruby eyes.  She appears to be New Zealand which means she will be a large rabbit...maybe around 10 pounds or so judging by the size of her ears and feet.  She is still a very young rabbit...about 6 months so she still has some growing to do.  She needs an adult only house with no other pets.  She is very stressed when you try to pick her up but will quickly settle down once she starts getting those big ears massaged.  She will need some TLC but we think she will be an excellent house bunny for the right person.  She made great progress in her trust of humans in her brief time here.

Both of these rabbits are looking for that special person to show them that humans are really good people and will take care of these girls.  They will repay you with their games and especially by "marking" their human with their chin.  That is one of the ways buns show affection.  We got many "chins" from them during their brief stay as Sabrina's House.  Either, or both, will grow into great buns for the right person.  These girls deserve better than they have received.  Are you that special person?
