Justice & Nestle
Both of these girls came into rescue semi-bonded. We feel they were like that for support of each other. We know nothing of their past. They were found at the door of Grand Strand Humane Society in Myrtle Beach, SC. They were in fair shape overall but very stressed and underweight. It took them a while to settle in...and then they became unbonded.
Nestle had a couple of episodes of pseudo-pregnancies and that was really tough on her. Nestle is the shy one. She appears to be a mix of several breeds and we expect her to be a large bunny eventually judging by her ears. But she doesn't grow. She is very docile but still untrusting of strangers. Nestle will be spayed to correct the hormonal issues that cause her pseudo-pregnancies.
Justice is just a good bunny. She is a harlequin. She is more outgoing but still shows some distrust of strangers. She appears to be an older rabbit. We are debating whether to spay Justice at her age.
Neither of these rabbits are available for adoption due to their shyness and with Justice, her age too. It appears these are just two more examples of people losing interest. A real shame because every once in a while..we see really loving rabbits behind that protective wall these buns have in place around them.
