Mo

Mo is a special Florida White. He is one of two rabbits evacuated from the Gulf Coast after the hurricane, courtesy of Magic Happens Rabbit Rescue (Baton Rouge, LA). We answered a call for help with "special needs" rabbits--so we got Mo.

As you can see, he has a physical difficulty--his legs are curved (splay leg). Guesses as to why include that it's genetic, nutritional, or possibly related to previously living on slipper floors. While it looks like he is uncomfortable, he is actually a very happy rabbit that has a tremendous love of life.

Despite his handicap, Mo can run and play with the best of them--he's a binkie-loving clown! He has to visit everything he possibly can during his play time. Mo has gained quite a bit of weight since his arrival here, and he is healthy enough now to be neutered which will allow him to have a girlfriend after the hormones have subsided. Mo charms everyone that meets him.

Due to his physical disability, Mo has been granted sanctuary and will spend the rest of his life here with us.  We don't know what the future holds for Mo due to his condition, but he can be assured he will always receive the very best. Mo would appreciate a sponsor to help with his vet bills since his condition can lead to some unusual problems. He will receive extra exams here as well as regular visits to the vet for check ups.
