Pixie

This is Pixie.  She is Yoda's girlfriend.  She comes to us courtesy of Cape Fear House Rabbit Society in Wilmington, NC.  Pixie is an English Spot/mini-lop mix.  She is very strong willed and has her opinions on how things should be...and has no problem getting that point across.  Since she is known to nip at people, she is not available for adoption.  She was at a vet to be euthanized because she bit a child.  The child was poking her in the face with a pencil.  Another example of poor human parenting skills.  Fortunately, Pixie found her way to CFHRS.  We took Yoda to meet her.  After a couple of minutes of "meet and greet"...Pixie hopped into the carrier and looked up at us...she liked Yoda and wanted to go with him.  Yoda and Pixie bonded tightly.  Pixie repaid us by helping Yoda when he became ill.  Pixie sensed Yoda was in trouble.  Many times she would place her body against Yoda to support him when he was too weak to stand on his own.  Several times at the vet, we would have to stop treating Yoda to calm Pixie.  We have seen her standing tall with Yoda...standing guard over her boyfriend when he was so sick.  Pixie has earned our love and respect...and the title "Nurse Pixie."  And she has a forever home here with Yoda.
